Malaysian-American Alumni Partnership Dinner

Saturday night, all of the Malaysian Alumni of exchange programs to the US and some of the current American that are currently in Malaysia, joined for dinner. Because the event was sponsored by the US Embassy, we had American food. I enjoyed my steak and mashed potatos.

We were entertained by "cultural presentations" by some of the Click Campers as well as their school teachers.










The highlight of the evening was hearing a few words from Paul Jones, the new US Ambassador to Malaysia. Ambassaodor Jones and his family have only been in Malaysia for nine weeks.


Ambassador Jones passed out certificates to students from Aman Islamic Secondary School in Kota Bharu, Kelantan for completing their two-year after-school English training sponsored by the U.S. Embassy's English Access Microscholarship Program.
