Little India

Little India is located in the region of KL known as Brickfields. Little India has a high concentration of Indian residents and shops. Not surprisingly, the sights, sounds, and smell of Little India are much different from other parts of KL.

Litte India has just undergone a "facelift" in preparation of the Prime Minister of India's visit a couple of weeks ago. The Indian Prime Minister and the Malaysian Prime Minister held a public meeting in Little India.

Brickfields is an older part of KL, originally founded to produce bricks for the growing city. This building was built in 1904.

Some Interesting Sights In, And Around, Little India

This woman, walking through Little India, was carrying her parcel on her head. Note that her husband is in charge of the roller bag!

Laundry day.

Do you think that these cars have any time left on their parking meters?
