The last few days have been a blur of trying to get ready to go. I have cleaned up my house in Lubbock and am searching for someone to rent it while I am gone. I have fit a year's worth of stuff (including all of my scuba gear) into two bags. Hopefully, I haven't forgotten anything critical, but I should be able to get almost anything I need in KL (with a credit card).
I had lunch today with my parents at the Oasis in Austin overlooking Lake Travis (just a little more scenic than Lubbock). My enchiladas and margarita will probably be the last Tex-Mex I get for a while.

My Fulbright in Malaysia
From June 2010 until March 2011, I will be a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In addition to teaching at UM, I will work to develop a "Malaysia Collection" for the Encyclopedia of Earth.
