Chinese New Years- Entertainment

During the lead up to Chinese New Year there been a number of pageants and performances in the Amcorp Mall where I live. All of the singing probably wouldn't have impressed Simon Cowell, but the costumes were pretty.

They must be popular because people thronged to get their autograph after their show (well at least this white-haired lady did).


I don't know who this guy is supposed to be, but he gave me candy.

    The guy in costume is the "Prosperity God" (probably the chinese version of Santa Claus) to bring wealth and fortune in ushering the Lunar New Year.
