All of the malls and stores in KL go all out when decorating for Chinese New Years. The overall color scheme for Chinese New Years is red (in fact, there was an article in the paper that women were buying red undies to wear for the New Years- I'm afraid I can't report directly on whether that is true or not). Common themes involve Chinese paper lanterns, cherry blossoms, drums and dragons.
No one does decorations better than the Pavillion Mall in KL.
Outside the main mall entrance.
It is great to see that Middle Easterners enjoy CNY as well.
The main lobby of the mall.
Those are some big blossoms!
Looking up at plenty of lanterns.
Banging the drum for "properity".
